Who we are?

The Hungarian Tire Association (HTA – Hungarian Tire Association) was established on August 26, 2011 at the Ibis Hotel on Váci út, which building has been demolished since.
The formation of the Association was the outcome of the unanimous decision of representatives of the HTA member companies, and Péter Urbán, CEO of Bridgestone has been elected as its first President.
The Municipality Court registered the organization under the number 14619 on October 18, 2011.

Since its establishment, HTA has been a member of the European Tire and Rubber Manufacturers Association (ETRMA), a central association of the European tire industry since 1959, and has its office in Brussels.

Mission

The Mission of the Association is to promote, represent and protect the legitimate interests of the tire manufacturing and distribution industry in Hungary and to support, assist in and make public knowledge of its contribution to all relevant aspects of social life, such as transportation, public safety and sustainable development.

The Association represents the tire industry in discussions with government, governmental agencies, the media and other business organizations with due respect to all national and European competition rules.

The Association coordinates industry efforts to professionally prepare regulations and controls, in environmental issues, in technical and public safety matters affecting tire manufacturing and tire utilization.

The aim is to create a positive understanding of the tire industry and its products amongst the general public, communities, to advise participants of economic and political life, to achieve an appropriate and globally competitive legislative and regulatory environment.
